It all started when I got out the military. I was a suicide case. I had been through two wars and I thought I just didn't have what it takes to make it in "the real world". I was in a whole world of pain. It was so bad at times that I couldn't even talk, due to the agony in my throat. It was there, choking my life away because it was much too dangerous to think about all the things I wanted to say, let alone say them.

Did you know that, globally, close to 800,000 people die from suicide every year. That’s one person every 40 seconds. One in seven is from pesticide poisoning. Firearms account for 46% of all suicides worldwide.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death in 15-19-year-olds. 79% of global suicides occur in low- and middle-income countries.

Suicide does not just occur in high-income countries, but is a global phenomenon in all regions of the world. In fact, over 79% of global suicides occurred in low- and middle-income countries in 2016.
Across the globe, suicide is the leading cause of death among teenage girls between 15 and 19, and the 3rd leading cause of death for teenage boys this age around the world. Suicide is, in fact, a major problem we as a species face.

I never knew to ask myself, “How would I treat myself if I was my own best friend?” I never realised how cold-hearted, critical and ruthless I could be to myself. I had to shake my head in disbelief, because I had always thought I would never treat a friend like that.

If I don't take responsibility for programming each and every department of my mind with the good stuff, then my mind and the outside world will program it for me. And they both have a vested interest in my life not working. Because they create and rule a world that is chaotic.
What I didn't realise was that I was the sky. My thoughts were just like clouds that drifted across the sky. The clouds came and went. The sky was always there.
The problem was this...as Pink Floyd put it...

My mind had misled me most of my life. My subconscious mind is irrational, illogical and chaotic, and was responsible for 95% of all my daily actions. Was it any wonder that my life was so unpredictable and in such a mess?
Most of my thoughts are controlled by a running subconscious dialogue...that non-stop yakkity yak... my head talk Each and every minute of the day. And night.
And it totally controls me. I am mostly under the control of my own subconscious mind.
And because I am so unaware that I am unaware, I actually identify with these robot like, conditioned responses and think that I am my mind. My self-created drama. So I live my life lost in thought, loneliness or in a state of tension, stress, anger, fear and anxiety. And Big Pharma gets bigger and bigger. Big mistake...
He whom the gods wish to destroy they first make angry.
Anger leads to madness. And madness leads to failure.
HOWEVER...If I can upgrade my reality to change my usual kneejerk reaction from anger to amusement, and change my viewpoint from "being attacked" and "being a failure" to use every situation (which previously used to trigger me to react uncontrollably) to my advantage, then things can change. Then I can transform my life.

The reason why Facebook is so successful is because its model (and Silicon Valley’s model, in general) is based on the principle of “failing hard and failing fast.” Some even say “fail faster” because that’s the only way you learn. By testing, learning, failing, and underperforming, you will eventually succeed. When you finally ‘get it’, and you discover who you truly are, you can give the finger to those people who told you that you couldn’t do it.
What I found was neither religious nor psychological, yet seemed to be the real foundation of each. In harmony with each. But it soon became apparent to me that something was happening to me. Within me…that was life-changing for me. Even if it wasn’t glaringly apparent to all those around me.
One of the first lessons that I learned was that my body never lies…
WHEN IN DOUBT, LOVE WORKS EVERY TIME.
Your body is not a coffin for emotional pain to be buried in. Put it somewhere else. The best way is to learn how to transmute and transform this energy called 'pain' into a different frequency. A higher frequency. One that can make you blossom, not make you bleed. A frequency which is where loving myself is approving every thought and feeling which is going on in my being. Moment by moment.

WHO IS SHADRACK?
So who am I and why should you listen to me?
I started my search for something when I finally graduated from the Military and the school of Hard Knocks, looking for something that a Major in Psychology did nothing to help. Looking for that Silver Bullet to help me and others (which of course I never found). What I did find was Hatha Yoga, which I practiced intensively for 15 years as a disciple of the disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. I started to find my Self.
Yoga opened a new world up for me. Initiated into Transcendental Meditation, I also adopted the practice of Laya Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Yantra, Mantra and Tantra Yoga, Kundalini, Bardo, Guru, Sahaj, The Six Yogas of Nairopa, and Raj Yogas.
While practicing Karate, I studied Zen, a Course in Miracles, crisis intervention, and Lifeline counselling.
Further studies over many years included Subud, Freemasonary, the I Ching, Tarot, Science of Mind, Comparative Religions, Regression Therapy (Past and Present Lives), Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transformational Trainings, Psychic Self Defence and Esoteric Healing. I also ran Mind Games Groups, Psychic Healing and Rebirthing Counselling Groups, Energy Healing Groups and Weight Loss (based on the work of Prof Manorama Legha).
